Rishab Kottooru

Ph.D. Students

I am an MS-PhD student in Chemical Engineering in the CRIS lab at Columbia University, co-advised by Dr. Venkatasubramanian and Dr. Simunovic. Prior to joining Columbia University, I graduated from Arizona State University in May 2023. Throughout my time at Arizona State University, I pursued research in image reconstruction under Dr. Mirjeta Pasha. Additionally, I have written an honors thesis titled “A Study on the Relationship between Data Leakage and Overoptimistic Estimates of the Performance of Machine Learning Models.” where my thesis committee was Drs. Visar Berisha, Gautaum Dasarathy, and Pouria Saidi. During my junior and senior years, I pursued a year-long internship at Intel Corporation as an Ocotillo Technology Fabrication Process Engineer Undergraduate Intern. My research interests pertain to applying AI and ML techniques in biological fields. Outside of research, I like to watch movies and read about history.
